In 2009, the Lodge donated in excess of $11,000 for the improvement of educational and sports facilities for schools in the Western Division and the Save the Children Fund. The assistance helped to establish a school library at the Conua District School, leasing of land for the Nalagi Public School and much needed sports equipment for students at the Waimari District School, near Vaileka Town in Rakiraki. The WM, W Bro Mitchell Whippy personally visited the schools and presented the donations to the principals and students. He was accompanied by the V WBro Ross McDonald(GI) and Secretary, W Bro Arthur Smith.
